The sad news from faraway America about the passing into eternity of Professor Vasily Markus, whom we personally knew and with whom we worked closely, painfully echoed in the impudent hearts. Meeting and collaborating with this famous scientist and bright person was a real gift of fate for us, a new scientific birth. Meetings with him, his wise words, deep erudition, humanistic, humane communication style will be remembered all our lives. For a long time, we were united not only by scientific and creative ties, but also by friendly kinship relations with Professor V. Markus and his wife, Doctor of bright memory, co-editor of" ED " Ms. Darka.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the Markus family and the entire Ukrainian community in Chicago and grieve with them.
